The lettering pattern is from an image of my own personal keffiyeh.
The keffiyeh's roots are believed to be in ancient Mesopotamia, dating back to Sumerian priests in 3100 BCE, where a version of the garment was worn to signify honor and high rank.
Initially, the keffiyeh served practical purposes in the harsh desert environment, protecting farmers and Bedouins from the sun, sandstorms, and cold.
Its practicality led to its widespread adoption across diverse cultures and regions, eventually becoming a staple of traditional attire in many Middle Eastern societies.
During the 1930s Arab Revolt against British rule, the keffiyeh transformed into a symbol of national unity and resistance, replacing the tarboosh as the preferred headwear across Palestinian society.
The keffiyeh's significance has extended beyond the Middle East, adopted by activists and supporters worldwide as a gesture of solidarity with the Palestinian cause and broader social justice movements.
